RMGT/GSNA Continue Investment, Growth in North America with Open Houses, Events

MARIETTA, Ga. —January 13, 2016—Graphic Systems North America (GSNA), the Authorized Distributor for RMGT (RYOBI MHI Graphic Technology Ltd.) sheetfed offset presses in North America, has announced plans to continue investment and growth that led to record accomplishments in 2015. Last year RMGT sold more than 30 presses, comprising more than 150 printing units, in the North American market. This positive acceptance in the North American market is reinforced with the strong start in orders for 2016.  During 2016, printers will see RMGT technology in operation at Open House events in different demonstration centers across the country. RMGT presence in national events, such as Graph Expo and the Print UV Conference, will be capped by an introduction of “ready to ship” and future technologies at Drupa 2016, the world’s leading trade fair for print.

Growth in North American Market

“The explosive growth in sales of new RMGT offset presses in North America is validation of our vision to become a major player in the North American print market,” stated Kozac Takata, manager of international sales and marketing. “We are pleased to see RMGT technology changing the business of customers in the commercial print, packaging, and in-plant markets.”  At GRAPH EXPO 2015, RMGT introduced new branding that integrated the strengths of Ryobi Limited and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Printing and Packaging Machinery, Ltd. These two companies were respective divisions of Ryobi Limited (US$ 1.9 billion company) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (US$ 28 billion company) that have manufactured printing presses for over 50 years in Japan. These two companies are fully integrated and are now known as RMGT.

Until recently, the Atlanta RMGT Demonstration Center had been the only major press manufacturer in North America showcasing LED UV curing live and on press for the past three years. “There is great satisfaction to hosting the first of the GSNA Open Houses for 2016,” stated Scot Gilbert, president of Paper Handling Solutions, Southwest Distributor for RMGT. “Over 200 RMGT presses are equipped with LED UV curing and in operation every day around the world. This event will bring this technology closer to our customers and underscores our commitment to the North American print market.”
